I’ve owned a Little Taggies Blanket since before I had my own kids. As a child, I obsessed over tags. I liked to rub them between my fingers and caress them to soothe myself. I had a crib-sized pillow I carried around for years, because it had a tag I loved to fiddle on it. The tag got so worn out that my grandfather cut the remaining threads off. I couldn’t have been more than three or four years old, but I still remember the horror.

Of course, when I was a kid, Taggies didn’t exist. I’m not the only kid that’s ever been fascinated by tags, and now someone else has cashed in on that market. Taggies brand makes just about anything you can imagine with oodles of tags attached. The toys make great gifts for any age infant.

My sister gifted me several of their items one year as adult, because even she remembered how much I loved tags as a child. Being the pack rat that I am, I kept them for years. When my kids came along, I generously shared those items with them. My first and second kids liked them just fine, but my third remains totally obsessed, much like his mother.

I highly recommend the Taggies blanket squares to start. My son can’t sleep without it and it goes on every trip with us. Our measures 12 inches square, and the small size means I can shove it into any bag with ease. We bought the soft book My First Taggies Book: Who Do You See? with tags for the animals’ various body parts like feet as well for my second child. She enjoyed it first, and it has since been passed along to my third who likes to sleep with it as well.
