Ride Along on This Ovine Adventure

I’ve been reading Sheep in a Jeep by Nancy Shaw for over 15 years, and I still love it just as much as the first time I stumbled upon this board book title. The adorable illustrations and fun rhymes hit just the right sweet spot between entertaining and brevity. They last long enough to keep my kids’ interest without boring them, but not too short that I grow tired of reading them over and over again.

I love them so much I got a copy of almost every title when I had my own kids. At ages seven and a half, six years, and three and half, we still read both the paperback and board book editions on a regular basis. I suspect I won’t part with these timeless classics, and instead will hang on to our copies to bequeath to future generations.
