Sometimes I think I’m losing my mind, then I remember I had three kids in four years. While quite a few things got shoved to one side while I took care of my babies, I still like to look like I’m sleeping through the night. Enter this marvelous concealer pen from one of my favorites for safer skincare, Beauty Counter.

Beauty Counter Touchup Skin Concealer Pen in Fair shade
My beloved concealer pen in the lightest of five shades.

I adore anything that makes getting out of the house looking better simpler and faster. Like Julep’s Eyeshadow 101 crayon, this concealer pen does the job all in one package. You click the end to prime the concealing liquid, and use the built in brush to apply it where you need coverage. Personally, I use it on the big purple bags under my eyes. Not only does it cover the bruised color from lack of sleep, but somehow it magically seems to reduce the color even when I don’t wear it. I don’t know if it’s the regular massage while applying that increases blood flow to the area, or something in the pen itself, but either way, I don’t care. This concealer pen has moved to the top of my list as one of the few things I can’t do without.

The coverage lasts all day, and the pen itself lasts for month on end. I use it regularly, roughly five times a week on various spots, including my under eye circles. And I’ve replaced my pen once in more than a year.  I also use it to cover up the lovely spots some of you may also have acquired. Despite the name pregnancy mask, my spots never went away, except when I apply this sheer liquid. It doesn’t feel heavy or clump, yet makes my skin appear like it did before three pregnancies took their toll. The cap keeps it from leaking when packed, though fair warning. If you fly with it, the change in pressure can cause a lot of liquid to come out after you’ve landed. All the excess stays safely inside the cap, though, so you can still use it on your face instead of having a mess in your makeup bag when you arrive.

Beauty Counter Touchup Skin Concealer Pen makeup safe held in hand
This lightweight pen packs a big punch, yet can fit into almost any bag for easy travel.

While you can get some Beauty Counter stuff through Amazon, I buy direct from Beauty Counter for my supplies. I love their mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone, and of course my reliable Skin Deep Cosmetics Database rates all their products highly. If they didn’t, not only would I not use them, but I’d never dream of recommending them.

If you’re not sleeping through the night, but don’t want your lack of sleep to show on your face, try out this remarkable, quick, and easy to use pen. It comes in five different shades to cover a wide range of skin tones.
