In this twelfth installment of the popular series by Aaron Babley, the heroes return with even stranger story lines. If you don’t mind the potty talk and mind-bending sources of evil, your child might enjoy the continuation of this series. This book follows the story of the 11th book, with Snake turning to the dark side, and the other heroes scrambling to keep up. While it does answer most of the cliffhangers from the previous book, it will still leave readers with unanswered questions.
Most readers, kids included, agree that earlier books in the series were better, like many other series. And it won’t make much sense to start with this book without reading the others, particularly The Bad Guys in The Dawn of the Underlord, first. But if your kid can’t get enough of the fast pace and quirky characters, get your copy of the The Bad Guys in The One now.
