This brightly colored picture book from Mem Fox of Where’s the Green Sheep? fame takes kids on a journey along with a bunch of rascally goats. Each page brings yet another herd of goats getting into all sorts of adventures, with every third page or so requesting a headcount. Kids can enjoy finding and counting all the goats in ascending order, or just sit back and listen to the rhyming text. 

We’ve loved this easy read for years in our household, since we received it as a gift when my son was a toddler. My kids took great joy in counting all the crazy goats, and barely noticed the learning process. We all loved seeing what the goats might munch next.
