Got a kid obsessed with vehicles? Want to get them some toys that will bring them lots of joy, but not sure what size to get? It can be hard to judge sizes online, even with dimensions given. If you’re struggling to tell the difference between Driven’s popular Pocket Series and Micro Series, we’re here to help.

If you look closely, you can see the Pocket Series equivalent of each Micro Series vehicle sitting on the front hood.

While micro might sound small, these vehicles are actually much bigger than their pocket counterparts. Each one of the Micro series measures about the size of a hand. They have tons of features kids love, from lights and sound, to moving parts, depending on the exact model you choose. You can see what you’re getting in these boxes, and even get a feel for some of the features before buying.

Each Micro series vehicle has a Pocket series equivalent, but the Pocket series offers more selection.

The Pocket Series meanwhile, are tiny. Each vehicle measures just over an inch or so. They still have moving parts and lots of features, especially for such small toys. And this series comes only in tiny garages, so you never know which one you will get. The blind boxes also come with connecting road pieces and teeny road signs. If you want even more, you can get one of several sets, which include bridge pieces and let you see which vehicles you’re getting.

Here you can get a feel for the size of each series in relation to a seven year old child.

Both kinds will fit  into a standard 11 or 13 inch bin for easy cleanup and storage. The price point also differs. While the Pocket Series blind boxes cost around $2 each, the bigger Micro series run around $8 each. Both offer great value for the price point. And the lines have similar vehicles, so you can get a tiny version of the bigger trucks in some cases.

The Micro Series vehicles are a lot larger than their Pocket Series counterparts.

At the end of the day, the choice comes down to storage and budget. Do you want to get lots and lots of different vehicles as well as accessories? Go for the Pocket Series. Do you prefer to have fewer but larger toys that offer more features? Micro Series is for you. Both sizes will bring your kids lots of joy during play time for months (if not years) to come.
