If you thought pudding pie made an excellent dessert, try this simple recipe to turn any flavor of ice cream into a fancy dessert. Watch the slices disappear with an Ice Cream Pie.

All you need is a ready-made pie crust (we love the chocolate graham flavor, but anything works) and your favorite flavor of ice cream. Get a pint for a smaller pie, and go for a quart if you want more ice cream to crust ratio.
Let the ice cream sit out (or microwave in thirty second intervals) until it gets soft enough to mold. Then scoop it directly into the pie plate filled with crust. You can make a level pie with a minimal amount of ice cream. Or let the ice cream create a dome shape for bigger slices. Once you finish, refreeze until you get ready to serve.

A can of whipped cream and some toppings will take this dessert to the next level. You can add whipped cream after serving, or decorate the edges with florets. Chocolate chips, sprinkles, and magic shell or any flavor ice cream topping make this dessert customizable on the spot and let you please a wide range of palates both old and young.
If you want an easy dessert for your next special occasion, or just a fun way to add a little flare to your next ice cream night, try an ice cream pie.
