Does your kid get the recommended three to five servings of fruits and vegetables daily? Or do they turn up their nose at anything that grows and can be eaten? If your child doesn’t love their daily dose of fruit straight up, try mixing it up. Toss some basics into the blender and serve it with a straw and watch what happens.

We love an immersion blender for a simple way to turn almost anything into deliciousness. Even the kids like tossing things into a container and mixing it up, then sampling the results. Got extra fruit that’s getting soft? It will work great in a smoothie. Toss in some milk for extra dairy or try yogurt for protein. If you want to get extra fancy, freeze a container of fruit yogurt to make the final result thicker without using ice.

You can’t go wrong with a banana and berry mix. But other fruits work just as well. Banana, yogurt, and nut butters make a great start to any day. Or serve up a mix of berries for snack. Frozen berries work wonders even when fresh fruits goes out of season. Mango mixed with yogurt or orange juice makes a great treat for dessert or as an alternative to traditional ice cream.
Try your own combinations to find the one your kids like best with this simple no cooking treat for any time of the day.
