If you’ve Run Yourself Ragged during this busy and festive time of year, consider taking some time for yourself to recharge. No time for a long soak in the bath with your favorite bath bomb? Try a shower steamer instead.
I read about these little aromatherapy shower scents in a magazine and had to try it for myself. My kids long ago discovered all my bath bubbles and bombs and good stuff, so I needed something they wouldn’t use. These tablets work great. You place them on the floor of the shower. When they get wet, they release their scent to help calm, invigorate, energize, or whatever else you need. They work best if not in the direct path of water, and also in a fully enclosed shower. But I used mine in a standard tub shower with high ceilings. While I’m sure it didn’t have as intense an effect, I could certainly tell it worked.
Lots of different companies make shower steamers, though I like the ones from Bath and Body Works
myself. If you don’t have much time but want some relaxation or a special treat, grab a batch of these shower steamers for your next cleaning event. They also make great gifts for friends and family who could use a little more TLC, too.
