As the weather turns warmer, if you want to get a feel for the beach or park without leaving your home, consider investing in a pair of Oka-B Sandals

I first learned about this flip flop at my favorite local purse shop. There, the owner had been on a recent trip to Florida and discovered Oka B. After hearing about them, I went on a shopping expedition of my own. I love shoes that slip on, since I rarely have free hands for tying laces or reaching down.

I adore these shoes!

These vegan bio-based flip flops are made from completely recycled materials, yet stand up to daily wear and tear much better than the average foam flip flop. Oka B manufactures entirely in the U.S., from design to production to delivery. Best of all, when they get dirty, you can toss both shoes into the dishwasher to get them sparkling like new. I have never thought to put shoes in the dishwasher (though I’ve sanitized plenty of plastic toys using this method), so that concept blew me away.

The company, owned by women, makes a wide range of sandals and ballet flats that fit comfortably while looking great. If one pair doesn’t work for you, don’t hesitate to try a different style. I bought two pairs (the store I found had a buy one get one free sale), and while one pair didn’t work for me at all, I still can’t get over how much I adore my other pair. (I passed the spare pair along to a friend.) Elements like their non-slip sole and massaging insoles make them irresistible
