Sterno Family Fun S’mores Maker on Amazon
We stumbled on this idea at a campground with our kids this summer. While I’ve been adding a Reese’s peanut butter cup to graham crackers and roasted marshmallows for ages, these ingredients take this classic dessert to a whole new level. When we couldn’t find a box of graham crackers on the shelves for last-minute s’mores, we got a package of chocolate chip cookies instead. Fudge stripes also work really well, though the marshmallow can ooze through the hole in the middle. (Having baby wipes on hands really helps!)

Pick a selection of thin candy bars for optimal melty goodness. Anything from dark chocolate Hershey’s bars, cookies and cream candy bars, York Peppermint Patties, or a Nestle Crunch will give kids and adults lots of tasty options. Instead of graham crackers, try two cookies for the outside. Or go nuts and use a graham cracker on one side, and a cookie on the other. Best of all, each member of the family can customize their own creation with zero complaints.

No matter how you choose to assemble it, add a hot roasted marshmallow to the ooey gooey mess and get ready for campfire dessert bliss. I don’t even like marshmallows and I can’t resist these tasty treats. They taste just as good on summer evenings by the campfire as they do in the winter by the fireplace.
