Shut The Box Game on Amazon

This game comes contained in a lovely wooden box. It makes a great looking addition to any shelf when not in play. Once you’re ready to compete, open the box to reveal the numbers one through nine printed on tiles attached to a rod along the length of the box. Roll the included wooden dice, then fold down any combinations of numbers equal to the amount rolled. For example, if you roll seven, you could fold down the 3 and 4, the 2 and 5, the 6 and 1, or the 7 tile.

In this example, the sum of the dice equals eight and the player flipped the 3 and 5 number tiles down. They also could’ve flipped the 1 and 7, the 2 and 6, or the 8 tile down.

Once the remaining upright number tiles add up to six or less, roll one die and continue playing. When you can’t turn down any more number tiles, your turn ends. Calculate your score by reading the remaining numbers across from left to right. For instance, if the 4, 7, and 9 tiles remain visible, you earn a score of 479. Lay down all the number tiles to shut the box and get a score of zero!

The lowest score wins the game. Any number of players, from one on up, can compete in this game of strategy and luck to find out who can shut the box.
