In this fantasy saga, in the first book, The Fire Within, readers meet David, who rents a room from mom and daughter duo Liz and Lucy. Once David moves into their home, strange things start happening. While Liz loves crafting clay dragons, Lucy becomes obsessed with what happens to a local squirrel. Together, the three will learn to trust each other and themselves as they navigate worlds both real and fantastical.

We’ve been reading these books out loud to our kids ages eleven, nine, and seven, and they clamor for more every evening. We’re currently on book three, and the kids can’t get enough of the characters and the action.
