These graphic novels feature two beavers brothers. Ace and Bub live on Beaver Island, where they enjoy sports and adventure (Ace) and napping (Bub). The brothers must team up against other animals’ plans for island domination in this series of six graphic novels.

Each book in the series covers one adventure. From the penguins looking to freeze their tropical home island to the birds and bunnies battling it out for supremacy on their vacation, the brothers try to prevail. From finding a way to navigate peace to exposing a sinister plot master, these beavers leave no stone unturned in their quests.

We recently discovered The Flying Beaver Brothers graphic novels by sheer luck when we stumbled upon one of the books at the local library. Now my eight year old can’t get enough of these fun stories. And my ten year old and twelve year old also enjoy reading about the antics of these brothers. The graphic novels move fast, with plenty of action to keep kids turning the pages and coming back for more. Based on the wait times at our library, we’re not the only ones enjoying the antics of these two beavers.
The series has six books. You can start at the beginning with The Flying Beaver Brothers and the Evil Penguin Plan, or read them in any order. Some elements will carry over from book to book, but that doesn’t hinder the enjoyment in these fast-paced tales. If you want to bring some light-hearted fun into your child’s reading selection, check out a copy of The Flying Beaver Brothers yourself – assuming you can get your hands on one.
