This kit, like the rest of the MindWare Paint Your Own series, comes with almost everything kids need to get started. It includes two paint brushes, one broader and one with a thin tip. It also has 14 colors of paint, from the basic primary colors to a glittery silver and shiny gold option. The castle itself comes in plain white, with some details like vines molded into the shape.

My daughter loved designing and painting this castle.

Kids can add as much or as little color as they like to bring their vision to life. Whether they choose to paint each of the five towers the same color or add different colors or patterns to each one, the final result will be their own unique design. Two kids can also work on this project together. Once they finish painting, let it dry for 24 hours. Then pop it into the oven for half an hour to set the paint. Add the two battery operated tea lights to bring the magic to life. Light shines from each of the many windows, casting a soft glow over their room or anywhere else they choose to display it.
